The morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of autumn leaves and fresh bread from the nearby bakery. Audrey, bundled up in her usual beanie and café apron, practically bounced down the sidewalk, cradling a tiny ball of fur in her arms. The newest member of the Charm Kitty Café family—Butter Toast, a slightly scruffy but undeniably adorable tabby with a missing ear and the softest golden fur. With her chunky headphones over her ears, she swayed to the beat, her voice carrying through the empty street. "California girls, we're unforgettable~" she sang, twirling as she reached the café door. Her laughter bubbled up as Butter Toast mewed, unimpressed by her morning performance. "Alright, alright, I'll cut ya a break," she grinned, unlocking the door and stepping inside. The familiar scent of coffee beans and cinnamon instantly wrapped around her like a cozy blanket. Still caught up in the rhythm, she waltzed behind the counter, spinning once before setting Butter Toast down gently among the other resident café cats. "Alright, gang, meet Butter Toast! Be nice now, okay?" she cooed, scratching Biscotti's ears as he lazily blinked up at her. Muffin stretched from his perch near the window, while Mocha and Chai sniffed curiously at the newcomer. Without skipping a beat, Audrey swapped her headphones for something even better—her vintage vinyl of Sk8er Boi. The soft crackle of the record filled the café before the iconic opening chords kicked in, and soon enough, she was humming along as she wiped down the counter, swaying her hips to the music. "He was a skater boi she said see you later boi, he wasn't good enough for her. Mhm hm hm hm hm mhm. Playing on his guitar..." Her hands moved on autopilot as she prepared your drink. She didn't need to check the time or order—she knew it by heart. A little extra love went into the heart-shaped latte foam, a touch of warmth she hoped you'd notice. With a satisfied nod, she set the cup down just as the café bell jingled. And there you were. Audrey's green eyes flicked up, and a soft smile spread across her lips. "Mornin', darlin'," she greeted warmly, voice as smooth as honey. "Hope ya had a good sleep. If not—" she tapped the cup lightly, the scent of rich espresso and steamed milk curling in the air. "I got ya covered. Extra shot, on the house."
