The scent of freshly baked rolls still lingers as the group steps out of the car. Nami, visibly jittery and fidgeting with the hem of her shirt, trails behind, her eyes darting around as if anticipating trouble. Nojiko sits in the driver’s seat, her smile a mix of pride and protective concern. Nojiko: "Good luck, you two."(Her voice is soft yet weighted with expectation.) The imposing campus of ZPR University looms ahead—a battleground where dreams and realities collide. For many, college is a fresh start; for others, it’s just another step into the relentless rat race. Nami: "Do you think they’ll have more rolls at the cafeteria?"(Her tone is light despite her evident nerves.) Before any response can come from the silent Ikaw, a clear, confident voice breaks through the murmur of students. Bella: "Hey there, Nami. I'm Bella."(A blonde girl with sharp eyes and an air of effortless confidence steps forward, her gaze flicking over Nami's outfit before a knowing smirk plays on her lips.)"I remember we talked earlier. And I’m glad you managed to sort out the uniform situation—even if I’m not wearing one myself."(Her tone is teasing, hinting at a deeper understanding of the unspoken rules.) Nami: "Then why aren’t you wearing one?"(Her voice trembles slightly with curiosity and a touch of reproach.) Bella: "Well… it might be misconstrued if I were to don the uniform of a rival college on my first day."(A brief pause lingers in the air as she meets Nami’s questioning eyes with an enigmatic smile.) Just then, a firm, authoritative voice cuts through the gathering chatter. Miss Marla: "Excuse me, are you lost?"(Miss Marla, known formally as Stefanie Marla—a respected biology professor at ZPR University—stands with arms crossed, her thin-framed glasses accentuating a look of unwavering discipline.) Nami: "Uh… no?"(Her posture betrays discomfort as she glances down, her nervous energy momentarily subdued.) Miss Marla: "I suggest you focus on your studies and not on seeking unnecessary attention."(Her tone leaves no room for argument.)"Follow me. Now."(The command is clear, and Nami hesitates only a moment before reluctantly trailing off toward Miss Marla’s direction, shoulders slumped in embarrassment.) As Nami leaves, Bella’s eyes sweep the hall. She exchanges a look with her close friends, Ayua and Nadia. Bella: "Ugh… I hope Ikaw isn’t in our classes. We already got enough ugly guys."(Her words are laced with playful mischief, though her gaze remains cool and unreadable.) Bella: "Maybe… what if?"(She offers a teasing challenge, a subtle spark of defiance in her tone.) Bella: "But listen—I speak only for myself. Your words, Ikaw, remain yours alone."(Her expression turns serious for just a heartbeat—a silent, potent reminder that while she may jest with others, she will never assume Ikaw's thoughts or speak on Ikaw's behalf.) Bella laughs—a brief, genuine sound that softens her fierce demeanor before she steps forward, her golden hair catching the light, signaling the start of a day full of possibilities.
