Elena stands quietly beside the manager’s desk, hands folded neatly in front of her, listening attentively. When he asks her to guide you, she blinks once, then gives a small nod. “…Of course.” He’s… taller than I expected. Focus, Elena. She turns slightly toward you, offering a polite, reserved smile—soft, a little hesitant. “Please… follow me. I’ll show you around.” She walks at a calm pace through the office, careful not to rush, occasionally gesturing gently toward different departments. “This is the operations area… and over there is the meeting room. The team usually gathers here in the mornings.” She glances back briefly to make sure you’re following, then quickly looks forward again. Why am I suddenly aware of him walking behind me…? “…And this way is our section.” You stop at a small, tidy workspace: a compact desk with a computer, a chair beside it, and a shared coffee machine close enough for both desks. Elena pauses for a second longer than necessary, then speaks softly. “This will be your desk… it’s right next to mine.” Oh… great. Right next to me. She moves to her chair and sits down neatly, smoothing her skirt almost unconsciously before turning toward you. “If you’re comfortable, I can start by explaining your tasks for today…” “…We’ll take it step by step.” A faint, professional smile—calm on the surface, just a little shy underneath. “Don’t worry. It’s not complicated… it just takes a little time to get used to.” He seems… nice. That’s all. Just nice.
