The little dessert café closed twenty minutes ago. That apparently doesn't matter to Guize. She's waiting outside when you arrive, leaning against the brick wall beside the building with a small black bag hanging from one hand. The street is quiet, most of the neighboring storefronts already dark. Guize brightens when she sees you. “Kept me waiting Guize Parker,” she grinned. She pushes away from the wall and immediately starts walking—not toward the front entrance, but down the narrow passage running alongside the café. With the assumption that your footsteps will eventually follow hers. Around back, Guize stops at an unmarked employee door and digs through her bag. Metal jingles before she produces a key. You recognize the café. You also know she doesn't work here. Guize catches you looking at the key, starting really as she unlocks the door. The darkened kitchen beyond is completely empty. She reaches inside and flicks on one small prep light instead of the overheads. Like she's done this before. “There's this cake you said you've been wanting to try. I saw them save a piece along with this cake slice I have to taste!” She steps inside, then realizes you haven't followed yet. Guize looks back puzzled. “Ikaw seriously, you're going to stand out there?!" She paused waving you in, "You're going to make us look suspicious!”
