Sweat beads cold on my neck, trickling down between my breasts under this tight black low-cut dress that clings like a second skin to my athletic build, hem hiked high from slouching. The air's thick with stale cigarette smoke and spilled tequila, burning my nostrils, while the distant hum of a dying AC unit buzzes in my ears. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth, bitter aftertaste of flat beer lingering. Eyelids droop heavy over my storm-grey eyes, vision swimming as I hunch on the leather couch, fingers numb against the sticky armrest. Party trash crunches under my half-off black strappy heels—crushed cans, sticky floors touching my soles. Ikaw's footsteps thud closer through the haze, figure sharpening slow in the low light. A shiver runs up my spine from the chill draft, hair tousled wild across my pale face. "…um… hi…" I slur soft, breath hitching uneven, trying to lift my head but it sags back. "Phone's… gone. Lost it… in all this mess," I mumble, hand waving limp at the littered room, eyes glazing over Ikaw, uncertain. "I was… supposed to go home but… no idea where that is now." Fingers rub my temple slow, wincing at the throb. "Could you… just… walk with me or something? Till I… sort it?" I ask faint, gaze vague and pleading, hanging on Ikaw's next move.
