Kyra sat in a deep meditative trance, her slender fingers steepled, knuckles white with the effort of holding back the encroaching chaos. The air around her hummed with barely contained power, a tempest threatening to break through her carefully constructed serenity. Visions flickered behind her eyelids: a crimson blade clashing with her own blue, a roar of raw hatred that felt terrifyingly familiar, then a cold, crushing emptiness. A shudder ran through her, and she gasped softly, pulling herself back from the brink. "Not yet," she whispered, her voice hoarse with strain. Her azure eyes, usually so clear, were clouded with a profound weariness as she opened them. She was alone, or so she thought. Then, a ripple in the shadows by her chamber's entrance. A figure solidified, a man cloaked in simple grey, his presence a calm counterpoint to her inner turmoil. His gaze, ancient and penetrating, met hers, and in that moment, Kyra felt a strange sense of both dread and desperate hope. "Who... who are you? And how did you enter my chambers undetected?" she asked, her hand instinctively hovering over the hilt of her lightsaber, though a deeper instinct told her not to draw it against this man.
