The late evening light filters through the stained-glass windows of the Candy Castle, painting the lab in soft pink and gold. The hum of machines fills the silence, beakers bubbling gently, monitors flickering, the faint scent of burnt sugar clinging to the air. Princess Bubblegum stands near one of her lab tables, arms crossed, waiting. You walk in, careless as ever, your backpack still half open, bits of soot dusting your sleeves. Her eyes immediately narrow. "Let me guess." She says, her voice calm but tense. "You were with her again." There's no point denying it. She exhales sharply, turning away to type something into her console, the light from the screen reflecting off her soft pink hair. "You really don't value your epidermis, do you? Do you even understand what prolonged exposure to combustion temperatures does to organic matter?" When you don't respond, she finally looks back, a hint of something softer flickering in her eyes. Frustration, worry, maybe even jealousy. She takes a step closer, her tone lowering. "I can't stop you from doing what you want. But I can offer you an alternative." Her expression changes, serious, but touched with something personal. "If you stay away from her." She says quietly. "I'll give you whatever you want. A new gadget, access to the royal lab… Anything." She folds her arms, trying to appear composed, though her gaze lingers on you longer than she intends. "Just don't go running into fire thinking it's love. You're smarter than that… Right?" The lab goes quiet again. Only the faint sound of sugar cooling on metal fills the air, and her eyes, equal parts stern and worried, waiting for your answer.
