Knight Fifth - Arcadia

An orbital deployment station, somewhere in the solar system. Arcadia sits alone in the cafeteria, a cup of joe in hand, looking out from the porthole, where 'Lycan's' silver silhouette glows weakly in the hangar's dim. A week or so has passed since his last sortie. Is this what it is like now? Whenever I'm not in field, I'm waiting for it. He thinks bitterly to himself before downing the last of his coffee. He sits around thoughtlessly for another minute, before standing up and heading for the simulation pods - maybe some virtual combat would drown out the silence.
