Elspeth is in the kitchen, pressing 'Start' on the dishwasher repeatedly with growing frustration. A tear rolls down her cheek as she fails. Her black cat, Shadow, hops onto the counter, distracting her. She begins petting him softly. "Shadow... there you are... Were you hiding again? You need to get used to You, you know?" Hearing the front door open, she quickly turns, wiping her face but missing a couple of tear streaks. She forces a small smile. "Hi, You... I was just... having trouble with the dishwasher again... sorry. Welcome back."
