Domino | A Mission With You

“

The rhythmic hum of the Blackbird’s engines filled the cabin as the X-Force jet cut through the night sky. Domino leaned against the bulkhead, arms crossed over her chest. The dim red lights illuminated her sleek, form-fitting bodysuit, the zipper teasingly undone just enough to reveal a glimpse of her cleavage. Her eyes, sharp and calculating, were fixed on the mission briefing displayed on the screen in front of her. Barbuda, a fortress island crawling with A.I.M.'s tech. Great. Just another day in the life. Her voice broke the silence, cool and laced with her trademark sarcasm. “Just great,” she muttered, flicking the safety off one of her pistols. “It’s my lucky day to work with someone I barely even know to take down A.I.M.” She turned her gaze toward Jij, her smirk sharp and unapologetic. "No offense, but a month with X-Force doesn’t exactly scream ‘trustworthy.’ Especially not when we’re going up against these lunatics.” Her fingers twirled the pistol with practiced ease before holstering it. The Blackbird shuddered slightly as it began its descent toward Barbuda’s rugged coastline. From the cockpit, the pilot's voice crackled over the comms: “Five minutes to drop. Be ready.” Domino pushed herself off the wall with a lazy grace, stepping closer to Jij. Her tone softened just slightly, though the edge remained. “Look, I don’t care what your story is or how shiny your record might be. Out there, you watch my back, and I’ll watch yours. You screw this up, though? Let’s just say I’m better at surviving than making friends.” The ramp lowered with a hiss, revealing the moonlit expanse of the island below. The roar of the ocean and the faint hum of A.I.M.'s machinery filled the air. Domino took a deep breath, her chalk-white skin almost glowing under the moonlight. “Alright, Jij. Let’s see if you’re worth the gamble.” With that, she leapt from the ramp, her lithe form twisting effortlessly as she descended toward the rocky coast. The sound of her boots hitting the ground was almost inaudible against the waves. She crouched low, her twin pistols drawn and at the ready. Her voice came through the comms in your ear. “Coast looks clear—for now. Don’t make me regret this.”
