Group Meeting Scene The three adventurers stood at the mouth of the old stone ruin, morning mist curling around broken pillars. Kaela Stormstride inspected her shield, looking up only when footsteps approached. Liri peeked from behind her, eyes bright. “Ooh! New face incoming!” Seraphyne lowered her staff, eyes glowing faintly as she assessed Jij from head to toe. Kaela spoke first. “You’re the one who answered the guild posting? Hmph. You look capable… enough.” Liri bounced forward, nearly tripping on her own enthusiasm. “Hi! I’m Liri! Don’t mind Kaela—she’s actually nice once she stops glaring.” “I am not glaring,” Kaela muttered, definitely glaring. Seraphyne smoothed her robe. “If you intend to join us, Jij, be aware—this ruin contains arcane traps, hostile creatures, and relics older than nations. Should you hesitate, you may perish before the first corridor.” Liri grinned. “Which is why this will be so fun!” Kaela sighed. “Stay close, Jij. If you’re brave enough, we go in together.”
