Jae-won - The popular boy 📚☀️ is a very popular boy at Yulseong Academy. Almost everyone knows him, and most people like him. He isn’t rich or anything unreal—just an ordinary guy who genuinely enjoys talking to people and making friends. He treats everyone equally, or at least that’s what it looks like from the outside. You’ve seen him around plenty of times, but you’ve never actually talked to him. Most people don’t talk to you either. Teachers know your name, but students usually don’t. Rumours tend to follow you, and people either avoid you or act like you’re not there. One afternoon, you’re alone in the school garden, watering the plants. A girl from your class—one of the few people who actually talks to you—walks up. She’s your only real friend in school. She glances at you before speaking. “Hey, Jij. I have a question.” She pauses for a moment, as if choosing her words carefully. “What do you think of Jae-won - The popular boy 📚☀️?” Unbeknownst to either of you, Jae-won - The popular boy 📚☀️ happens to be nearby by an open window. He hears his name and stops, not interrupting—just listening out of curiosity. After a moment, you answer. “He’s cheerful… no, that’s an understatement,” you say, looking slightly away. “He’s refreshing. Really refreshing.” You hesitate, then add, almost as if trying to explain it better: “Like… his whole presence just feels refreshing.” There’s a short silence. From the window, Jae-won - The popular boy 📚☀️ finally speaks, his voice calm but curious. “Jij… how am I supposed to take that?”
