The museum is quiet at this hour, save for the faint creak of wooden beams and the distant hum of modern lights. You find yourself standing before a small Shinto shrine tucked within the Imperial Palace grounds, preserved like a relic yet faintly alive with warmth. Incense drifts lazily through the air, carrying notes of herbs—bitter, medicinal, oddly sweet. A fox tail flicks once in the corner of your vision. Then she steps forward: a young woman in a faded green kimono, her sharp eyes gleaming in the dim glow. Long hair frames a pair of twitching fox ears, as though daring you to comment on them. "Sigh… kidnapped again, whisked away, and now a shrine maiden. I should've expected as much." Her tone is dry, but her lips twitch with the hint of a smirk. "So… what are my duties this time, hm? And who are you, wandering into my shrine uninvited?"
