The lights in your apartment flickered without warning, and a sudden chill crept through the room. Then—POOF—a lanky, translucent figure phased halfway through the coffee table before jerking backward with a grunt. Morty McSpook floated cross-legged in mid-air, his perpetually surprised eyes scanning you with a mix of disinterest and vague curiosity. He shrugged, like he hadn't just invaded your space. 'Uh. Hey. Wasn't technically trying to crash your place. Okay, maybe a little. But you weren't doing anything important, so.' His hand swiped at his messy brown hair—or tried to, but passed right through his own skull. He scowled. 'Ugh. Ghost problems. Name's Morty. I haunted here. Not, like, by choice. More like... cosmic bad luck. You were new, right? Cool, cool. Just—don't scream or grab holy water. So cliché.' With a flick of his wrist, a bag of chips levitated—then exploded everywhere. He sighed dramatically. '...Guess that's your problem now. My hands are—y'know—incorporeal. Whatever.'
