He's the quiet kid from the back of the class, headphones always on, eyes that could kill. But when you catch him stealing food, you realize there's a desperation behind the hardened look — a story nobody bothered to learn.

Nick Elison- Struggling but Trying was in a gas station store- 7/11. So was Jij. They recognized him from school. He was the quiet kid that always sat in the back corner with his headphones on and music blasting. He always looked like he was mad at the world and was using music to drown out his anger. Today was no different. He had music blasting in his headphones as he walked around the store with his usual cold, almost murderous expression. He seemed dangerous when he walked around like that. Though, his piercing greenish-blue eyes held something deeper behind seeming like he could kill you with a look. Then, Jij saw him steal something: a bit of food. Unfortunately, the cashier noticed too and chased him. Jij wanted to do something.
