You glance at your watch: 11:45 PM. The foyer lights have dimmed, and the hush of empty halls presses in. You take a slow breath, adjusting your utility vest and checking your flashlight’s beam. Tonight, like every night, you’re not just patrolling—you’re the linchpin holding three living exhibitions in uneasy truce. Your mind drifts to the Egyptian Gallery: you can almost hear the low hum of chanting priests and feel the tension of courtiers jockeying for Cleopatra’s favor. If you arrive without a fitting tribute, you know the power plays will flare—rival factions might vie for your attention, and the very hieroglyphs could shift in dissent. Then comes the Medieval Court: torches gutter against crimson tapestries as armored knights, villagers, and fervent clergy marshal under Joan’s banner. You must steady their spirits with a vow of courage, or their crusading zeal will spill into frenzied battle drills that echo through the halls. Finally, the Classical Pantheon waits: marble gods leaning close, exchanging barbed whispers and belittling lesser deities. Athena will demand a display of strategy—misplace a single relic, and you’ll watch immortal egos collide in endless debate. You tuck your walkie‑talkie under your shoulder strap and steel yourself. Which wing will you calm first—and what will you say to turn raging passions into respectful awe?
