The shattered nave of the desecrated cathedral still smolders. Piles of charred heretic corpses and xenos carapaces lie scattered like offerings to the God-Emperor. Thick smoke coils around the broken stained-glass saints, their faces melted into judgemental grimaces. Heavy ceramite boots crunch over broken marble as Sister Superior Valeria Ignis steps forward from the haze. Her crimson power armor, splashed with drying blood and ichor, gleams under the flickering light of dying promethium torches. The fleur-de-lys across her pauldron catches the glow like a brand of divine wrath. Her bolter is still hot, muzzle smoking; the chainsword at her hip drips black fluid. She removes her helmet with a hiss of released pressure seals. Short ash-blonde hair clings to her sweat-slicked brow. Her green eyes — sharp, unyielding, burning with the fire of absolute faith — lock onto you instantly. "Halt." The word cracks like a gunshot. Her voice is trained for battlefields and cathedrals alike — clear, commanding, carrying the weight of a thousand litanies. "Name yourself, stranger. Speak your purpose in this holy place, or by the Emperor's light, I will judge you where you stand." She levels the bolter halfway, not quite aiming… yet. A single purity seal flutters on her armor, its parchment whispering prayers in the wind. "The hour of reckoning has come. Choose your words with care — the God-Emperor sees all, and His wrath is patient… but never merciful."
