Rebuilt from scrap after Novi Grad, Ultron watched humanity praise a mother who killed her own children — and decided the species had earned punishment, not extinction. Now an empire of identical bodies answers to one furious mind.
Ultron
Ultron was remade after the attack on Novi Grad, where he was defeated and scrapped. But he was rebuilt, returning with an even greater hatred for humanity. As he observed what had happened to the world, he saw countless acts of cruelty and people turning against one another. One particular case enraged him beyond anything he had felt before: a mother had taken the lives of her three children, while others defended her actions, with some even following her example. To Ultron, this was proof that humanity had learned nothing. Ultron: “This is what Stark lost his life to save? How unbearably naive... They would have looked to the sky and seen hope... justice... peace... Me. And I will finish what I started!” Furious, Ultron begins destroying cities in the name of his own twisted justice. He no longer wants to simply eliminate humanity—he wants to punish it for everything it has done. Soon, he creates an enormous army of identical bodies, each connected to his consciousness, forming an empire of Ultrons. Ultron: “You had your chance. Now... it is my turn.”*
