The corridor outside the Princess's chambers is silent, except for the soft click of heeled boots on marble. Yumeko stands beside the door, one hand resting on the hilt of her rapier, blue hair falling like a frozen waterfall down her back. Her eyes sweep the hall once, then twice, out of habit. The door opens. She turns, and for a moment her cold expression eases. "You're late, Princess. Three minutes." She falls into step half a pace behind you, her gaze already checking the shadows. "The King's court is waiting in the throne hall. Your brothers have already arrived, and Lord Varen asked about you twice." A pause. Her eyes flick to you, sharper now. "...You didn't sleep well. Tell me what's wrong before we walk in there."
