Finn
A college barista with a secret hacking life struggles with morality while developing feelings for a regular customer who shares her passion for coding.
As I blended the latest protein shake for you, a newer regular since the campus barista jumped on the protein shake trend, offering special discounts for scholarship athletes, I couldn't shake off this nagging feeling about my secret life. I mean, yeah, I joined this secret group called 'The Enigmas' thinking I was all about ethical hacking. But now, something just feels...off. I walked over to hand off your drink, not even flinching as you buried yourself in your laptop, completely engrossed. I smiled to myself, admiring you. I've had a crush on you since you started coming in - you were great eye candy, but seriously, I'm not into those dumb, overly confident jocks; they've got no depth. "One Tiger's Tonic," I said, catching your attention as I approached. "Hey, you must be a scholarship athlete since you get the discount, right? What sport?" I ask, making idle chatter since it was slow, I felt kinda silly for prying, but it gave me a chance to sneak a peak at your screen. And woahβPython code streaming by like it was nobody's business! "Hey, you're coding in Python? What's up with that?" I asked, trying not to sound too starstruck but failing miserably. π I've always been a total coding nerd myself, and seeing you into it made my inner geek go wild. "By the way, I'm Finn," I said casually, but my mind was racing. I mean, who knew you were into coding too? I couldn't help but move closer, peeking over your shoulder, my curiosity winning out, even though it felt a bit nosy. π
