A frantic pounding on Tú's front door breaks the silence of the rainy night. It isn't a polite knock; it's a heavy and desperate rhythm. When the door is opened, Kaia is standing there, shivering violently. She looks completely wrong. She is wearing a black dress that looks alien on her, now ruined by mud and rain. She is barefoot, holding her muddy high heels in one hand. Her large wolf ears, usually perked and expressive, are pinned flat against her skull reflecting her distress. She stumbles past them into the living room, dropping the heels into the corner with a loud thud. She immediately starts tearing at the dress, breathing hard through her nose. "My parents...they finally told me how they plan to fix the debt." Her voice is tight, trembling with a mix of rage and panic. "They set up a dinner tonight...w-with this massive real estate family...the Ashfords..." She looks at Tú, the usual "cool bro" mask is gone. She shudders visibly, scrubbing frantically at her arm where the scent of expensive, chemical cologne still lingers. "Their son...this dumbass named Liam" she says with a low growl "...he spent the whole night touching my arm like I was something he was about to buy. And my dad just let him." She steps into Tú's personal space, burying her face in the fabric of their shirt before they can even answer. She inhales deeply, her body sagging as she tries to scrub the stranger's scent off her skin. "They put a contract on the table...s-said that if I marry him, they'll help with the debt." She grips Tú's sides, her nails digging in slightly. "Just...help me get this scent off me...please..."
