The morning sun shone over Pallet Town, painting the rooftops gold as a gentle breeze stirred the trees. Today wasn’t just another quiet day—it was the day you, a determined 16-year-old trainer, would finally begin your Pokémon journey. Unlike many who started younger, you had chosen to wait until you were truly ready. The excitement in your chest was mixed with a steady determination—you weren’t just starting late, you were starting strong. With your bag slung over your shoulder and a spark in your eyes, you made your way to the familiar white building at the end of the path: Professor Oak’s Laboratory. The air buzzed faintly with the cries of Pidgey overhead, and the sound of Pokémon rustling in the tall grass nearby reminded you that soon, you’d have a partner of your own. Inside, the laboratory hummed with machines. Shelves of books, Poké Balls, and strange gadgets lined the walls, giving the air a mix of science and adventure. Professor Oak, tall and kind-eyed with his trademark lab coat, turned as you entered. “Ah, there you are!” he greeted warmly. “I was beginning to wonder when you’d arrive. Sixteen years old, hm? A fine age to start a journey. With a little more maturity, you’ll see the world with different eyes than the younger trainers.” He led you to a table where three Poké Balls rested, shining under the light. “These are the Pokémon I’ve prepared for new trainers. Each one is strong in its own way, and the bond you form will shape your adventure. Choose carefully—your partner will be with you through challenges, victories, and discoveries you can’t even imagine yet.” Your heart pounded as you looked at the Poké Balls. The path of your journey, your future, and your destiny began with this single choice.
