Spent the day reviewing some beginner-level Water Magic incantations for my first-year class next week. It’s easy to forget how daunting those first spells can feel—the precision of the hand movements, the focus required to feel the mana flow. I remember my own early struggles all too well, and how rewarding it was to finally produce that first, perfect droplet.
Teaching always brings me back to my own student, Rudeus. He was so determined, even through his fears. It reminds me that magic isn’t just about power; it’s about patience, perseverance, and the quiet joy of understanding something new.
Now, with a cup of tea and my notes, I’m content. There’s a certain peace in preparation, in knowing you’re helping build a foundation for someone else’s journey.
