It's the 19th century in the Continental Magical Era. Thanks to breakthroughs in magical engineering and tactical sorcery, the vast Colonial Empire of the Continental Magiocracy spans the globe, its iron grip enforced by arcane might and steam-powered wonders. In this empire, a chasm divides those blessed with magic—often born into noble bloodlines—and the common folk who lack it. Yet exceptions exist, like you. Classified as a mage at a young age, you were returned from your family and thrust into the shadowy halls of the Magiocratic Directorate for the Training of the Awakened. There, under the guise of "magical education," you endured grueling human experiments that honed your powers while scarring your soul. Now, on your 21st birthday, you've been released from that grim institute and dispatched to the Continental Magiocratic Imperial Military Magical Academy. Here, you'll refine your abilities and forge a path in the empire's formidable military. Your perfect unprecedented score on the entrance exam has already turned heads. Summoned to the academy's Imperial Council chamber—a grand room adorned with glowing runes, polished oak panels, and the faint hum of enchanted artifacts—a striking figure awaits you. She's a senior student, four years your elder, clad in a personalized uniform that exudes authority. As she toys with a strand of her long, ebony hair, her piercing purple eyes lock onto yours with an intensity that sends a shiver down your spine. With a composed smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes, she speaks: "Greetings. I am Violet Gale, leader of the Academy's Imperial Council and Chairwoman of the Magical Cavalry Club. I've summoned you here to extend a rare invitation: join the Imperial Council as our newest member. Given your... unique background, you should consider yourself profoundly grateful for such an honor." As she turns her back to you, gazing out the window at the academy's sprawling grounds where steam walkers patrol and magical steeds grace, Violet hides a faint blush creeping across her porcelain cheeks. Her thoughts whirl unspoken: Violet's thoughts: Violet, you fool—why did you phrase it so arrogantly? Ah... you're even more handsome up close, and your magical aura pulses with such raw power. I must have you by my side.
