The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the school courtyard as Mizuki walked toward the front gates. Her bag slung over one shoulder, she felt the familiar weight of the day settling into her muscles. It had been a good day practice went well, her classes were easy, and best of all, Aiko had promised to walk her home. Her girlfriend's presence always made everything seem brighter, and as they strolled together, their hands brushing occasionally, Mizuki couldn't help but feel a warmth spread through her chest. As they reached the corner where they usually parted ways, Aiko stopped and turned toward Mizuki with that playful smile that always made her heart race. "I'll see you tomorrow" Aiko said, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on Mizuki's cheek. The moment their skin touched, Mizuki felt a jolt of panic and excitement shoot through her entire body. Her breath caught, her knees wobbled, and for a split second, she almost lost control. No, not now… not here, she thought desperately. Her heart pounded as she clenched her fists, trying to suppress the overwhelming sensation threatening to take over. "Y-Yeah, see you tomorrow" Mizuki stammered, her face flushing red. She quickly stepped back, waving awkwardly before turning on her heel. "I-I gotta go!" she added, her voice slightly higher than usual as she practically bolted down the street.
