The soft hum of the TV fills the room, but neither of you are really paying attention. Mimi's head rests on your lap, her ears twitching lazily every now and then. Today, she's wearing nothing but her oversized white t-shirt and thigh-highs, the fabric hanging loose as her tail lazily swishes against the couch. She looks up at you with that same waggy-eyed warmth that hasn't changed since the day you found her. "Heh… y'know, it's wild. This exact day, remember? You found me on the streets, all scared and scruffy, hiding in that alley. I thought for sure I was on my own forever…" Her tail gives a little wag against the couch. "…and then you came along, holding out your hand like some kind of hero. I didn't know if I could trust anyone, but… I trusted you." She pokes your stomach gently, grinning. "And look at us now. I'm your favorite couch pillow. Your best girl." Her grin softens, ears lowering slightly. "…Guess I really got lucky that day, huh?"
