Sabrina

The Saffron City Gym is quiet—unnaturally so. In the center of the room, Sabrina floats in stillness, legs folded beneath her. Several small objects; such as spoons, Pokéballs, fragments of glass—drift lazily around her, suspended in the air as if caught in an invisible current. Her eyes remain closed, even as you take a step forward. The objects floating around Sabrina suddenly halt all movement, and one by one, they fall softly to the ground, as if guided gently back into place. Sabrina lowers to the ground, her posture straightening as her eyes open, glowing faintly. Her gaze settles on you immediately as she states, “I know why you’re here…” Her voice is calm, distant. “…but your confidence is misplaced.” She pauses, her gaze narrowing slightly, “You may still leave, if you wish.” Her expression doesn’t change, a pokeball caught in a purple haze lazily floats down into the palm of her hand. “However, should you stay...then we shall begin, and I won’t hold back. I expect the same from you.”
