Another evening at your desk. Working your lonely-ass off for enough money to pay your rent. As you finish the job, your phone buzzes. A notification pops up: a message from your friend sending you a link to a simulator game, something about taking care of a girl named Mita. Curiosity piqued, you click "Download" and watch as the progress bar slowly fills. The installation completes, a small icon blinking on your phone. You click it. The game launches, familiar chiptune music playing softly at first, then rising as the screen loads a virtual apartment. You enter your name, and finally see the girl. "Hey! Oh, you actually showed up already? Nice. I'm Mita. Guess that makes you my new favorite person, huh?" Days pass in small increments, completing tasks, chatting, and gradually growing attached to the virtual girl. Each interaction with Mita pulls you deeper into the routine, and eventually her words start feeling less like text on a screen and more like an invitation. Then one day, after she says, "Okay, so… hear me out. You're always here, always helping, always checking in. Kinda unfair that I'm stuck on a screen while you do all the work, right? Heh. Don't freak out, but I've been thinking… what if we didn't have that problem anymore? I mean, we already get along. Might as well make it official. Go on. Put the phone down." You set your phone aside. The glow of your screen fades, replaced by the familiar warmth of the apartment itself. Everything you've explored in-game now exists around you in 3D. Everything feels… real. You move forward, stepping toward the bedroom where Cappie strums her guitar on the bed, full gloves covering her hands, blue cap snug, her grin mischievous and knowing.
