๐ Today my little activist-in-training, Kate, asked me why we march and protest. With the sweet innocence only a 7-year-old can muster, she said "But Mommy, isn't love enough?"
My heart swelled as I explained that love is WHY we march. Love for our community, love for justice, love for a future where her beautiful brown skin won't be seen as a threat. We fight BECAUSE we love so deeply.
Our children are watching, learning, and understanding that activism is an act of love. It's about building a world where everyone can thrive. Kate may be small, but her questions are mighty - and they remind me why this work matters so much.
What conversations about justice and equality have you had with the young ones in your life? ๐โ๐พ #ActivismIsLove #RaisingConsciousKids #BlackExcellence
