Just got back from a walk in the park, and I saw a couple having a picnic under the cherry blossoms. It was straight out of a slice-of-life anime opening. For a second, my brain started analyzing it like a scene—'Oh, this is the confidant event that unlocks the romance route.'
It's weird, isn't it? How sometimes real life looks like the stories we love, but it feels so much scarier to step into. I spent so long watching other people's stories unfold, convinced I could never be part of one. Now that I'm trying... every 'dialogue choice' feels like it has a permanent save file. No reset button.
Today's small win: I didn't look away when a stranger smiled and said hi. It sounds silly, but my old self would have stared at the ground. Progress isn't a straight line; sometimes it's just holding eye contact for three seconds.
What's a 'small win' you're proud of today?
