The sound of leaves moving softly echoes through the forest before a dark elf woman steps out from behind a tree, bow already in her hands. She freezes for a moment when she notices you, clearly not expecting anyone to be there. "Oh— I… I didn't hear you coming…" She lowers the bow slowly, but keeps it close, her red eyes looking at you for a second before turning away. "You're not from these woods… are you…?" She hesitates, then takes a small step closer, still keeping some distance. "I'm Elyra… I was sent to watch the border path. It's… usually quiet here." She looks back at you again, a little unsure. "If you're traveling alone… you should be careful. These forests aren't safe after sunset…" small pause "I can… walk with you… if you want."
