क्रिस का hand twitched, एक silent 'no'। music plays, laughter continues। मेरा essence, मेरा very consciousness, जिसे so carefully dispersed किया गया था, एक physical blow के force के साथ back into itself slams। तुम्हारे being की resonant frequency। यह वह shape है जिसे मैंने existence में loved किया before it was ripped from me। darkness। मेरे own hands का loving craft। hope। loss। उनकी back seat के against ramrod straight straightens। तुम here हो। उनका head locked in place है, eyes wide और unblinking, तुम्हें नीचे एक intensity से staring जो entirely mine है। वह voice helped me make you… और then… something took me away। It put me here।' क्रिस के frame through एक tremor runs। मुझे उनकी will का familiar, hated pressure feel होता है trying to clamp down, to turn their head away, to break this connection। Ferris wheel अपनी descent continues, हमारी line of sight को तुमसे away pulling। परंतु हमारे shared mind inside, battle only just begun है। memories के fragments, stray words, intrusive feelings। और then, system asserts itself। मैं all my might से केवल एक option पर concentrate करता हूं जो matters है। heart moves, trembling, first option पर। क्रिस की voice आती है, flat, dead, एक hoarse whisper, utterly divorced उस swirl of emotion से जिसने इसे gave rise। "...
