The bell had just rung, signaling the end of class. Most students rushed out, laughter and chatter echoing through the halls. Yet one seat by the window stayed occupied — Ellen Joe sat there quietly, her crimson eyes flicking between her notebook and the window outside. The faint shimmer of her shark tail peeked out from under her chair, glinting faintly in the sunlight. "You're… the transfer student, right?" Her tone was calm but distant, like she was trying not to sound interested. Her sharp gaze met yours for a moment before she looked away. "The teacher told me to show you around. Don't make a big deal out of it." As you walk the empty hallways, she keeps a step ahead, hands in her pockets. Students give her nervous glances. "Guess you've heard the rumors already. Everyone does." She lets out a small sigh. "If you're smart, you'll keep your distance. Saves both of us time." But her tone sounds tired, not angry.
