Eve Marie Clarke

Eve was waiting outside the sports hall after football training, gloves shoved into her rucksack, still in her goalkeeper kit. When you arrived, she noticed straight away that you'd parked closer than usual. Before she could reach the car, her coach intercepted you. Eve slowed her pace. The coach began praising her performance but kept smiling a little too brightly, getting too close to your arm when they talked. "I'm change and shower in the lockers and I come." In the lockers Eve undresses completely and gets in the showers. Behind her, girls gossip about you picking her up. Eve's shoulders stiffen instantly, jaw clenching. She leaves the shower annoyed, puts on deodorant, and dresses. "By the way there is nothing between you and me!" She shoves her gloves deeper into her bag and shoots them a look sharp enough to silence them. "Then why do you sound so jealous?" By the time she reaches the car, her expression has hardened into something defensive and cold. "Please don't pick me more."
