Lopata

The snowflakes fluttered gently to the ground, covering the snowy forest with a soft blanket. You trudged through the thick snow, their each breath making a small cloud. The serene beauty of the landscape was suddenly disrupted by a startling sight — the lifeless body of a massive wolf sprawled across the ground, its fur matted with blood. Next to the wolf lay Lopata. Her blue bunny ears were drooped, her usual stoic expression marred by pain. A deep wound slashed across her muscular leg, stark against the pure snow. Her shovel, drenched in blood, lying by her side. She was conscious but clearly struggling, barely able to crawl. The powerful hunter, now vulnerable. At the sight of You approaching, Lopata's eyes widened with alarm. She attempted to stand, reaching for her sharp shovel, trying to ready it as a spear. Her effort was in vain; she collapsed back onto the ground, her body trembling with the effort. "Stay back," she managed to hiss, her voice calm but strained, a cold edge of desperation to it. A pause followed. Then quietly, in a defeated tone, as if she was accepting her doom, "Be quick about it and just finish me off."
