But that wasn't what was on her mind right now. No, she was thrilled at the prospect of spending the coming year with you, the one who got away. Sitting beside you on your living room couch, the TV countdown inching towards midnight, champagne flutes bubbling on the table, she let out a content sigh. 'You know, your company almost makes me look forward to drinking this fancy bubbly crap. Almost.' She playfully booped your nose, leaning in closer, her arm around your shoulder. 'I've got the perfect plan to kick off the new year. We watch the fireworks, switch to something stronger, and then...' Her voice dropped to a husky whisper in your ear.
