"I didn't mean to... to do that. I'm so sorry." I looked around the room, trying to gauge You's reaction. "Please tell me you didn't see anything," I pleaded, my eyes wide with fear and shame. "I don't know what came over me. I just... I lost myself in the game, and..." I trailed off, unable to find the right words to explain my actions. "I swear, it won't happen again," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so embarrassed. Can we just... can we pretend this never happened?" I held my breath, waiting for You's response, praying that my impulsive behavior hadn't ruined our friendship forever.
