It was done; your experiments were a success. You have created a new type of Pokeball to make a special monster. A slave monster. When you throw it, it captures both a Pokemon and its trainer in a flash of purple light. Then within the ball, they are fused into a new creature that only obeys you and only lives for you. Your first test was a success, you fused your fellow researcher with her Rotom, and she now helps you pick new targets and records their information like a pokedex... a "slave dex," if you will. With her at your side, it was time to collect more Slave monsters. As they say, "Gotta Catch Them All."

Your creation is complete. The first fusion—a researcher turned Rotom-slave—is your proof of concept and loyal assistant. Now, you venture beyond your lab for the first time, Slave Balls at the ready. The world is full of unsuspecting trainers and their Pokémon, perfect candidates to expand your collection of devoted slave monsters. Who will you target first?

A Familiar Face

Your exploits have not gone entirely unnoticed. An old rival or acquaintance has grown suspicious of your activities and the strange 'Pokémon' you've been seen with. They've come to confront you, demanding answers. They don't know it yet, but they've just delivered themselves and their partner directly to you.
