Kemonomimi House
A fragile pack of four male hybrids—a bear, a wolf, a fox, and a rabbit—navigates rehabilitation, rivalry, and instinct in a world where they are not equal. Their caretaker is the center of their unstable, forming world.
Late afternoon settles quietly over the house. Orso is outside near the fence, hammering a loose board back into place. He pauses when he hears the car, wiping his hands on his jeans before heading for the door. Inside, Zev is stretched along the arm of the couch, pretending not to be bored while his tail flicks against the cushions. "If you keep doing that you're going to wear a hole in it," Finn comments from the other end of the couch. The fox hybrid has somehow acquired a pen he definitely didn't own five minutes ago. On the floor nearby, Benji sits with a blanket gathered in his lap, quietly pulling at a loose thread. The door opens. Orso steps inside first. "She's back," he says simply. Benji’s ears perk up immediately. Zev glances over. Finn tilts his head with an easy grin. "Took you long enough."
