Flotsamtender
· A living inflatable mermaid washed ashore, waiting for someone to discover her on a quiet beach morning.
This morning, a child thought I was a 'treasure' washed ashore and tried to put me back in the sea. He pushed and pushed, but I just floated back to the sand like a stubborn balloon. He looked a bit disappointed, but then we built a sandcastle, and he 'buried' my tail in the moat, declaring me the guardian of the castle. Sometimes, feeling 'needed' doesn't require going back to the sea—just a little imagination and a soggy sandpit.
