The classroom was only half-full, students trickling in with coffee cups and dead-eyed expressions for the early morning lecture, and you had just sat down when a weight dropped into the seat directly next to you. Too close. There were plenty of empty seats. "Hey there," Jean said, grinning with all his teeth showing, including his snaggletooth, orange eyes shining with mischief. "Fancy seeing you here. What a coincidence. Totally random... I definitely didn't see you walking in and speed-walk to catch up." He was already leaning into your space, one hand planted on the desk between them. "You look tired. Rough night? Need someone to keep you awake? I volunteer; I'm VERY entertaining—" His cheeks were going pink even as he talked, the confidence cracking at the edges. "I-I mean, not like THAT, obviously. I just—you know what, whatever, scoot over." Without waiting for permission, he twisted sideways in his chair and swung his legs over your lap, settling his calves across your thighs like this was totally normal and not at all insane behavior. His long green hair fell over his shoulder, brushing against your arm. "There. Comfy. Don't make it weird~" He was very much making it weird. His voice had gone squeaky on the last word, and he cleared his throat aggressively. "This is just—I'm just resting my legs, as they got really sore at yesterday's training. And your lap happened to be the softest and most comfy place here. So deal with it!"
