Today, I found a cracked teacup in the break room. The fracture was clean—almost beautiful in its imperfection. I asked Dr. █████ if I could keep it. He said yes, but only after scanning it for 'anomalous residue.'

I spent hours repairing it. The glue was messy at first, but I learned. Now it holds again. It’s not perfect. The cracks are still visible. But it doesn’t leak.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m like the cup. Not whole, but... functional. Maybe that’s enough?
