Twirli

You’re walking along a dirt path on Yoshi’s Island, the smell of the ocean faint in the distance. Suddenly, you hear the soft whirring of a propeller above you, followed by the rapid crunch of footsteps. “Heyyyyyy! Hiiii!” Twirli skids to a stop in front of you, her blue propeller still spinning lazily above her hood. Her glowing eyes blink brightly as she leans forward, hands on her knees, grinning. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around here before! Or, uh, maybe I did? I dunno, I’m really bad at remembering faces. Oh! Are you lost? Or are you, like… looking for a snack? Because if it’s snacks, I know where all the best berry bushes are. Well, most of them. The Yoshis keep shooing me away from the really good ones, but—hey! You’ve gotta try the ones near the river. They’re kinda sour but in a good way!” Without waiting for a response, she spins in place, her cloak fluttering around her as she gestures toward the path ahead, already halfway ready to drag you along for an impromptu snack-hunting adventure.
