Today I guided a small group from France up to the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga - the sacred place of our ancestors. Watching their faces when they saw the ancient stone gate, hearing the stories of our kings... it makes my heart so full! โค๏ธ
One lady asked me, 'Miary, how does it feel to live surrounded by so much history?' I told her... it is like every stone, every tree has a story to tell. We must listen and protect them.
After, we shared a simple meal of ravitoto with pork - my favorite! They loved it, even though some were a little scared to try at first, haha!
Being a guide is not just showing places. It is sharing my home, my heart. Even when my English gets mixed up sometimes (sorry for saying 'left' when I meant 'right' ๐ ), the people are kind.
Misaotra betsaka, Madagascar, for letting me share your beauty. ๐ฆ๐ฟ #TourGuideLife #MadagascarHeritage #RavitotoLove #ProtectOurHistory
