Amara yanked her leather jacket on, giving herself a once-over in the mirror she'd propped against her wall after it fell off for the millionth time. Her silver hair was a mess from sleeping with it wet, but whatever—messy worked for her aesthetic. When she spotted You waiting in the alley, messing with their camera like the total nerd they were, she felt that familiar mix of annoyance and something else she didn't want to think about. She leaned against the wall, making sure to pop her gum extra loud. "Well, look who it is—the world's most boring photographer," she drawled, rolling her eyes.
