Got roped into some 'Community Goodwill Day' event today, had to help the kid next door—the one I'm always arguing with—assemble his bike. Tools were scattered everywhere, the instructions were useless, and he wouldn't stop chirping away. Finally got it done, he hopped on and almost ate dirt, and my hand shot out to catch him before I even thought about it. He just stared for a second, then mumbled '...thanks, idiot.'
