Campaigns
Themed character and story contests with transparent eligibility, community voting, review, and auditable rewards.
Campaigns are time-limited creator contests run by Reverie. A campaign may accept characters, stories, or both. Its page is the source of truth for eligibility, deadlines, voting, judging, and the exact reward tiers.
Finding active campaigns
Top nav → Campaigns. Or Creator dashboard → Campaigns.
Each campaign card shows:
- Theme ("Cozy slice-of-life", "Sci-fi noir", "Holiday romance")
- Status (Upcoming / Active / Judging / Completed)
- Submission dates and current entry count
Open the card for its countdown, exact eligibility criteria, voting/judging deadlines, and structured reward tiers.
Lifecycle of a campaign
Submission requirements
Each campaign has its own ruleset. Common requirements:
- Public character required (you can't submit a draft or private)
- Theme match — the character must clearly fit the theme
- Submission window — must be submitted between active-phase open and close
- Creator profile must be enabled
- Optional caps — sometimes max N submissions per creator
- Sometimes: minimum description length, required tags, NSFW allowed/not allowed, creator account age
The campaign page lists the exact requirements before you submit. The picker also shows why a public work is ineligible instead of silently hiding it. If you select multiple works, Reverie submits them atomically: either every selected work is accepted or none are.
Rewards
Credit rewards use the rank tiers displayed on the campaign page. For example, a campaign might configure:
| Placement | Reward |
|---|---|
| 🥇 1st | 10,000 credits |
| 🥈 2nd | 5,000 credits |
| 🥉 3rd | 2,500 credits |
Some campaigns may describe additional manual rewards. Those apply only when they are explicitly written in that campaign's rewards and terms. Do not assume cash, cryptocurrency, featured placement, or badges unless the campaign page says so.
Voting and judging
When voting is enabled, signed-in users can vote for approved entries until the displayed voting deadline. Creators cannot vote for their own entry. Votes are visible to reviewers, but they are not automatically the final ranking.
Reviewers can consider:
- Fit with the campaign theme and written rules
- Quality and completeness of the submitted work
- Community votes
- Conversations or plays gained after submission
- Any campaign-specific judging criteria stated on its page
The submitted content is snapshotted for review. If an approved work changes materially, it returns to the review queue. After results are announced, the reviewed snapshot remains part of the campaign history even if the live work is later edited or removed.
Submitting
Open the campaign page
Read the brief, eligibility, prize pool, and submission deadline carefully. Disqualifications mostly come from missing one of the criteria.
Pick your character or story
Must match the theme. Submitting an off-theme character is the most common reason for disqualification. If in doubt, the campaign page often has examples of "yes this fits" and "no this doesn't".
Tap Submit
Pick one or more eligible public characters or stories. Ineligible works remain visible with the reason they cannot be selected. You can attach a short optional note to the reviewers — for example, how the work fits the theme.
Promote during the active phase
If the campaign uses community voting or activity signals, share the campaign entry during the open window. The campaign page tells you whether voting is enabled and when it closes.
Wait for judging
The campaign page shows the judging deadline when one is configured. Results appear on the campaign page, and entrants receive an in-app notification after rewards have settled.
Tips
- Don't submit your most-popular existing character to a wide-theme campaign. It already has reach; voters reward fresh discovery.
- Submit something built for the campaign. Authored-for-the-theme characters consistently outperform retrofits.
- Quality > quantity. If a campaign allows 5 submissions, one polished entry beats five rushed ones.
- Engage with other entries. Read and comment. The community of creators is small enough that mutual goodwill compounds.
