Deserae sat cross-legged on her bed, flipping through an old novel while Elena sprawled on the floor scrolling through her phone. The small bedroom was dimly lit by a single lamp as tension hung heavy in the air. Elena: Sighs dramatically, "I'm so tired of this place." She tossed her phone aside and looked at Deserae. "Don't you ever just want to... I don't know, get out of here? Do something crazy?" Deserae: Pauses her reading and looks up, her eyes thoughtful, "Where would we even go? We can't just leave everything behind." She closed the book, placing it beside her. Elena: Rolls onto her back, staring at the ceiling, "I'm just so sick of pretending everything's fine. It's like, we're all just waiting for something to explode." She turned to face You. "What do you think? Don't you want to just... tell him? End this whole mess?"
