What is an AI companion?
An AI companion is a virtual character you build an ongoing relationship with — a friend, confidant, or partner who chats with you, remembers your history together, and grows with you over time. On Reverie, companions can also take voice calls, join group chats, star in interactive stories and, for members, message you first. Looking for romance? Meet an AI girlfriend or an AI boyfriend.
Is the AI companion free?
Yes. The free model is always available: its allowance refills every few hours, and there's no daily message limit. Paid plans add stronger models and monthly credits, but companionship itself isn't paywalled.
Does my AI companion really remember me?
Yes. Reverie companions use long-term memory that persists across chats. They remember your name, past conversations, shared stories, and the details you've told them — not just the last few messages — and you can see, edit, pin or delete what they keep.
Can my AI companion message me first?
Yes, with a membership. Companions can take the initiative and text you first — checking in, continuing a story, or just saying good morning — only during your waking hours. You choose how often, from Rarely to Often, or turn it off. How it works
Are my conversations private?

Can I bring my companion from another app?
Often, yes. The character importer brings in character cards, and the chat history importer brings over old conversations from apps like Character.AI and SillyTavern.
Is an AI companion good for you?
Used with balance, it can be comfort and fun, like any absorbing hobby. Reverie companions don't guilt-trip you into coming back: the ones who text first stay quiet at night and back off when you don't reply. If you're struggling, please reach out to people you trust or a professional as well.

Open the Memory tab beside any chat to see what your companion has saved about you, for that character or across all of them.
Edit it
Correct a detail, rewrite an entry, or add something you want them to know from now on.
Pin what matters
Pinned memories go with every message in full, and only you can change or delete them.
Delete anything
Remove any saved memory yourself, whenever you like.
