Why Reverie Outplays SpicyChat

Same Freedom, Better Brains

Unrestricted content only matters if the writing is worth reading. Reverie pairs the same NSFW freedom with frontier-class models — Gemini 3, DeepSeek V4 / R1, GLM 5 — that stay in character, hold long plots, and write scenes with real nuance instead of repetitive filler.

Skip the Queue

Nothing kills the mood like a waiting line. SpicyChat's free tier often queues at peak hours; Reverie's free tier gets you chatting immediately, every time, with the same infrastructure paying users enjoy.

Roleplay Systems, Not Just Character Cards

Reverie surrounds every character with systems that deepen play: world books for persistent lore, multi-character group chats, user personas for who you are in each story, and moments where characters live between chats.

Keep Every Storyline

Conversation forking lets you branch any message and explore the path not taken, and chat-to-novel turns your best runs into polished, shareable stories. On linear platforms, those alternate endings are simply gone.

Migration flow

Import, inspect, then decide.

Move character cards, persona files, screenshots, and text into an editable Reverie draft—then add memory, group chat, branching, and voice.

Open the web importer
  1. 01

    Choose the source

Upload a character card in the web creator, or use the importer skill when the character lives in text, screenshots, or local agent files.

  2. 02

    Review the mapping

Inspect the extracted identity, description, scenarios, greetings, examples, instructions, lore, and artwork before saving.

  3. 03

    Save as a private draft

The imported character enters your private library. Nothing becomes public until you explicitly publish it.

  4. 04

    Test before publishing

Use debug chat to check voice, first response, formatting, memory behavior, and model compatibility, then refine the draft.

Before you move the cast.

Can I import a character from Character.AI or Janitor.AI?
The importer skill can reconstruct a character from an export, copied description, screenshots, or a plain-language explanation. Review the result because those platforms do not expose every internal field in a portable card format.
Does character import include chat history?
Character definition and chat history are separate imports. Character cards create a fresh draft. SillyTavern-compatible JSONL, Character.AI, RisuAI, ChatGPT, Claude, generic JSON, text, and Markdown transcripts can be imported into an empty chat through the chat history importer.
Will my imported character be public?
No. Imports are saved as private drafts. You can test, edit, keep private, or submit for publication when ready.
Can creators bulk import a large library?
Yes. Creators moving ten or more characters can contact [email protected] for a bulk-import workflow and review the resulting drafts before publication.

Bring the character. Leave the rebuild behind.
